A High-Sensitivity Refractive Index Nano-Sensor Structure Based on MIM Waveguide

Abstract In this review, we engineer a high-performing nanosensor mechanic based on SPPs, which consists of metal-insulator-metal waveguide coupled with two triangular plates in double-internal-pile ring cavity (DISRC). The feasibility establishing the sensor SPPs is analyzed theoretically, and parameters DISRC are simulated by finite element method. best sensitivity proposed system 2640 nm/RIU high FOM 71.4. simple structure, easy to integrate, takes some advantages traditional cavities into account. Hence, other high-sensitivity nano-sensor fields, it has good application prospect potential.
